    80 acres of heavenly and tranquil green expanse spread across a hillside setting, the Bodnant Gardens are located near Colwyn Bay, Conwy.  The Gardens overlook the Conwy Valley and the Carneddau mountains. 

    Henry Pochin who was a renowned scientist, businessman and politician of his time established the gardens in 1874. 

    The garden was conceived by adding flowers and plants brought by famous global explorers from across the world. It is safe to say that the Bodnant gardens are probably one of the most versatile and diverse gardens in the world.

    The Quay House, which was built in the 16th century, is famous for being the smallest house in Great Britain, with it being only a mere 10 feet deep and 6 feet wide. Even with such minuscule dimensions, the house is still split into two floors. 

    The last owner of the house was a fisherman after which it was eventually turned into a tourist spot and even though it’s freakishly tiny, the house is hard to miss because of its bright red painted exterior.

    Opened in the summer of 1969, the Llandudno Cable Car runs across 1.6 KM and is known for its breathtaking view of the Great Orme, the Bay of Llandudno and the Irish Sea. 

    The highest point between the ground and the cable car is about 80 feet and the entire journey takes about 9 minutes. There are a total of 20 cabins in service.

    At 2,295 feet long the Llandudno Pier is the longest pier in Wales. It was opened in 1877 and has been a popular tourist destination ever since.

    Conwy Valley Maze

    Spread across over two acres Conwy Valley Maze is one of the most alluring and heavenly mazes ever. Giovanni Angelo Jacovelli and an eminent Australian designer Bob Haberfield designed it. 

    What makes the maze unique other than its enormous size is that it has different themed gardens. The themes include Rose, Japanese Zen, Butterfly and Tropical garden. 

    The maze is also scattered with stunning structures all across and English yew hedges have been used to construct the maze, which adds to the grandeur. 

    There is also a cafe on-site for you to have a nice cup of tea after walking through the maze.

    The original form of the Conwy Valley Railway Museum was a small exhibition in a gauge bogie and built in the 1970s by Alan Pratt. Today, it is a major tourist attraction of Betws-y-Coed. 

    The Museum is a must-visit for people who have an interest in the history of locomotives and especially trains. There is a massive variety of railway models and in-depth information about trains and their history. There is also a gift shop stocked with souvenirs and model railways.
